How to wear Santai Magnetic Eyelashes?
Thirty wears, honestly.
A Santai magnetic lash is built to last 30+ wears. How you treat it between wears is the entire difference between thirty and ten.
Three rules: wash gently, store flat, never use oil.
That's most of the care guide. The rest is detail.
Daily — after wear
Removing
Slide a clean fingertip along the band, from the inner corner outward. Lift cleanly — no tugging. If a lash resists, you're pulling it off the wrong direction; reverse the angle.
Cleaning
Use Foam Cleanser (or any oil-free, magnet-safe lash wash) on a microfibre pad. Two pumps per pair, 60 seconds, wipe through gently. No rinsing. No rubbing. Air-dry flat for at least 5 minutes before storing.
Why oil-free matters: oils — even from cleansers, makeup removers, or face serums — coat the magnetic strip and weaken the band's grip over time. A lash treated with oils typically dies at 8–12 wears instead of 30+.
Storing
Always in the included compact, never loose in a makeup bag. The band shape memory is what holds the curl — squashed in a pouch with lipsticks and brushes, it goes flat.
Weekly — deeper clean
Once a week (or after a heavier wear with full eye makeup), give the band a longer cleanse:
- Three pumps of Foam Cleanser onto the band.
- Let sit for 2 minutes — not 60 seconds.
- Wipe through with a fresh microfibre pad.
- Inspect for mascara residue at the base. Repeat once if needed.
- Air-dry flat for 15 minutes before returning to the compact.
Long-term — making it last 30+ wears
Do
- Wash after every wear, even on days when you barely wore makeup.
- Store flat in the included Santai compact.
- Replace your magnetic liner every 3 months — old liner loses tack and stresses the band.
- Keep your compact away from heat (no glove compartments, no bathroom shelves).
- Use the included care brush, never tweezers, when handling the band.
Don't
- Apply mascara to the magnetic band — ever. It clogs the magnets and shortens lifespan by half.
- Use oil-based makeup removers near the band.
- Pull the band apart from both ends to remove — this stretches the polymer.
- Soak the band in water or any liquid. Lifestyle moisture (rain, mist) is fine; submersion is not.
- Store the band with the magnetic side down on a metal surface — demagnetises it faster.
When to replace
A Santai magnetic lash is at end-of-life when:
- The band feels less secure on application (magnets weakening).
- Fibres are visibly fanning, kinking, or shedding.
- The band has lost its curl memory — it sits flat against the lid instead of arcing.
- Cleaning no longer removes the build-up at the base.
For most people, that's the 30–35 wear mark on daily styles like Inbox and Pitch, and 25–30 wears on heavier styles like Afterhours and VIP Access.
Accessory care
Foam Cleanser
Store upright at room temperature, away from direct sunlight. Replace the bottle every 12 months for best foam performance, even if there's product left.
Thermo Curler
Charge once every 10–14 days of daily use via USB-C. Wipe the comb with a dry cloth after each use to remove any product residue. Never submerge in water.
